Police Officer (Continuous) - The Town of Capitol Heights Police Department is currently accepting applications for Police Officers on a continuous basis to fill future openings. To be considered, applicants must be eligible for certification in Maryland as a Police Officer (previously Maryland certified applicants), or eligible for certification in Maryland after the completion of a compliance academy--i.e., completion of a basic law enforcement class that has been accepted by the State of Maryland, and that includes at least 800 hours of basic training.
Those interested in being considered for employment should submit a completed application (download here), a cover letter, and resume, to Lieutenant Robert Middleton.
Candidates must attach a copy of their resumes in Microsoft Word or PDF format--do not send zip files. Applicants should clearly state the type of position they are seeking (full-time, part-time, or reserve). Starting salary is dependant upon qualifications. Full-time employees will be eligible to participate in employee benefit programs.
